Account Types: asset vs immobilisation

Hi:

I’m creating the list of accounts.

Among the Technical Type of accounts (Account Types), I’ve noticed there are two in particular: asset and immobilisation.

It seems to me the later means also asset (from the french immobilisation), which makes both types to mean the same.

From the demos at the source code it seems immobilisation is used for the assets, and asset is used for the capital of the company. But is seems quite rare the later.

May I have someone explain to me what is their difference?

Thank you!
