What do you actually do after you extracted the business suite .zip file into your chosen directory?
Some background - I want to run Axelor on a linux Centos 7.3 server. I have jdk 1.8 installed.
What should I do next? I suppose tomcat needs to be installed - correct?

Hello,
The .zip file contains the exploded war file that need to be deployed into tomcat webapps folder. The properties file « /WEB-INF/classes/application.properties » allow to configure access to the database.
If you are not comfortable with Tomcat, consider to use auto installer : http://download.axelor.com/abs/autoInstallerFR/axelor-business-suite-4.x.x-linux-fr-x64.run
