Product Code has gone missing in the product form. How can I get it back?

Did you define a sequence ?

I did. The problem was that the Code was still missing after undoing the sequence. A few hours of desperate fruitless effort culminated with a web browser refresh, which brought back the Code. Boy…, this should be getting on people’s nerves.
